The time for Taft to get deployed has officially come. Boo! We were actually kind of hoping he would go this upcoming time, but kind of not at the same time. We figured it would be better to get it over with while we don't have kids. But now that it's really happening, I'm not too sure how I feel about it.
He'll be going to Baghdad on TCN (third country national) duty. That means he gets to guard and escort the Iraqis that are hired to work on the base. He's excited cause he gets two guns. I'm not excited cause that means if they decide to be dumb and blow something up, he's not very safe. I was ok with him deploying as a fueler, which would be safe and out of harms way. But no.
The bad news is that it means we have to put off getting sealed, yet again. He leaves in September and will get back in January or February. There's no way the paperwork will go through that fast. It's amazing how hard it is to do the right thing and get the right thing done. Grr. So here's to hoping that we'll be able to come home and get sealed when he gets back, and that he doesn't get blown up or something while he's deployed! :(

Wow! Sounds like a good and bad thing. I'll be praying for his safety, we don't want him getting blown up! Geez, Carrie, way to be candid! :)

yo yo yo sista... i hate this post. i don't like that he's leaving, but i guess he might as well get it over with. i am excited that it means you will be coming for christmas tho. --- a girl came in to tan yeserday who said that taft was her best friend. her name was bree.... i'm way sorry but i can't remember her last name. --- anyway hope all is well with you guys! love ya!
