We spent Memorial Day at the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial. It was such an amazing experience. Most of the soldiers buried here died in the Battle of the Bulge. The weather was horrible, but it made the experience so much better. We were in cold rainy fog, with lots of layers, complaining. But then my Dad made the comment of how the soldiers were out in worse, with nothing, for months, trying not to literally freeze to death in their foxholes in the dead of winter. It was so humbling to see thousands of headstones of boys my age and even younger, who died to protect my freedoms. Pictures don't do the site justice. It made me so proud to be a military wife and remember my amazing husband who has been in a war, fighting for me.
General Patton's grave. He didn't die here, but requested to be buried here, "with his men", after a car accident.
One of four memorials to soldiers they have yet to find the remains of.
There are 101 unknown soldiers buried here. How grateful I am again to those men who gave their lives, and those that continue to serve our country.

Way to teach baby Parker the important things in life at such a young age. What great parents you are!
